Linsy Nguyen is a creative tour de force, a unique combination of raw design talent, user understanding, and technical wizardry that digital companies drool over. Linsy began her career at a small design shop in Houston, then transitioned into the digital space where she’s consistently shined, thanks to her ability to guide and mentor team members and her focused, disciplined work ethic.
Linsy spent 10 years at Idea, where as Creative Director, she led a team of Art Directors, Designers, Writers and Information Architects working on the agency’s largest accounts, including HP and Style Network. After almost 13 years agency-side, Linsy went in-house at National Oilwell Varco, assuming the role of UX/UI Manager, responsible for the UX and Graphic Design teams supporting the development of an enterprise class software platform. She has since left NOV to get back into the world of freelancing.
She received her BA in Graphic Design from the University of Houston (only after she almost finished another undergraduate degree from UH in Mathematics. We think this makes her a one-of-a-kind creative and the perfect user-centered designer).
Linsy is a fine artist at heart, just as comfortable with paper and paint as she is with web design, motion graphics, and UI design. Linsy has also been a professional dancer, and she’s a lover of all things handmade, namely beautiful things that are knitted, crocheted, or doodled.
She adores cats. Like more than most people.
