Associate Director, Houston School of Advertising
Sr. Experience Designer, Think Brownstone
Chris Hungate is the consummate design pro—a whiz on the computer, relentlessly focused on the user, easily angered by bad design choices, and obsessed with the details. Beyond knowing a thing or two about Strategy, Art Direction, Design, and Music, he also knows his way around the back-end—he’s a former web developer who built his own websites and knows way too much about technology.
He’s a rare bird who navigates the design, marketing and tech worlds with ease and, not surprisingly, Chris was recruited by one of the top UX firms in the country, Think Brownstone in Philadelphia in the Spring of 2014. He’s now a Design Lead working on a super secret mobile project and recently earned Think Brownstone’s prestigious “Uncle B” employee-of-the-quarter award for his efforts. Thanks to some stellar technology (mainly Skype) and an incessant desire to make a positive dent in the world, he continues to help guide HSA and does some remote teaching from time to time.
Chris is a die-hard soccer fan, donning the blue of Chelsea FC, the orange of the Houston Dynamo, and the red, white, and blue of the USA on a regular basis. He is addicted to Sprite and salt, but swears he would give it all up to look like David Beckham.
